MASKED MARAUDER

2011 (Casa de Juan x Written On The Wind) x Just Fabulous. Sev. 6.5" fl. 30" sc. M 15-20 buds. Fertile both ways. These highly eye-catching flowers are a rose mauve with a very dark black purple eye and wide matching edge. The ruffled petals are surrounded by a second, wire gold edge. At the center of these strongly colored flowers is a cool green throat. The large flowers are presented on tall scapes. The plants show good rust resistance and are cold hardy. While I generally prefer flowers with a more rounded form, even I am knocked over by these startling flowers. You simply can’t walk by without stopping in your tracks.
