Fertile both ways.Pebble In A Pond is a light cream to near white base with a multicolored pattern eye of concentric circles. The shockwave or earthquake pattern is very dramatic, with repeating bands of light and dark. The eye is also large, taking up almost half of the petal surface. The dark purple eye continues around the petal edges as a dark purple picotee. The eye is particularly dramatic against the clear, near white base. The rust resistance is average to good and the plants are cold hardy and have nicely branched scapes. My best parent for shockwave patterns on a light base; when combined with Tet. Texas Kaleidoscope and Tet. Dark Mosaic, the kids have been nothing short of shocking! A must for ricochet pattern eye breeding.

The blooms have a purple violet pattern eye and green throat. The purple violet eye often contains other bands of color and is surrounded by a burgundy mascara band. The pattern eye continues out along the petal edges as a wide picotee consisting of several bands of color, often including charcoal, burgundy and purple violet, surrounded by a wide ruffled gold edge. A very important breeder for violet and pattern flowers on tall 31" scapes with wide, complex patterned edges, large size and ornate ruffled gold edging.

2011 (Mother Ocean x Featuring The Gold) x [Reggie Morgan x (Send Me A Rainbow x Alexa Katherine)] Sev. 6" fl. 30-34" sc. M. 30-35 buds. RoyalCypher has been my most important parent to date for fancy pattern flowers with rainbow edges. The self color is a pale cream, while the pattern eye is a violet with a burgundy mascara eye and matching inward streaks. The multi-color eye continues along the petal edges as a double picotee edge of violet and burgundy, surrounded by an ornate gold edge. A look at the parentage shows that this was an attempt to bring wide edging into my pattern lines. The highly ruffled edges can be ornate, with loops and angel wings as pictured. At the center of the flower is a cool green throat. Royal Cypher has a picture perfect, tall, beautifully branched scape, which is probably why Larry Grace considered it one of my very best breeders for fancy pattern flowers. These cold hardy plants have good rust resistance and are easily fertile both ways. Royal Cypher brings size, ornate ruffles and wide rainbow edges to pattern daylilies.
