CHINESE FIRE DRAGON

2011 (Roman Renaissance x Ruby Pearl Sullivan). Sev. 6" fl. 28" sc. M 25-30 buds. What a beautiful combination of these two wonderful parents. Roman Renaissance added deeper color to the fabulous rose red Ruby Pearl Sullivan. The combination resulted in a deep fire engine to Chinese red flower. The velvety flowers have a lighter watermark surrounding a green throat. The looping, ruffled petals are surrounded by a wide gold edge. Despite the heavy edging, the flowers never hang. The wonderfully branched scapes have 4 laterals plus top branching. The plants have very good to excellent rust resistance and are cold hardy, and the flowers are easily fertile both ways.
